I worked at Judy's today but was bound and determined not to pull something out of the archives to post tonight. A quick walk around the garden kept me on track. I've had Iris leaves growing in the garden for years, but this is the first time one has actually produced a flower. So I'm looking forward to seeing this one bloom. And yes, I've been deer-proofing it just in case!
Is this a bearded iris Ann? It looks like it might be. These ones multiply and you can dig them up, cut them in half and replant them. I have them in my garden too.
Thank you so much everyone! I so appreciate all your views comments and favs- LOL especially the favs!!
@nicolecampbell They could be- this is the first one to bloom. They were brought home from the garden of one of his clients. We just planted them and didn't even know what color they would be.
@cruiser That could be the case with my other Iris transplants which bloomed for one year and then never again. There are too many of them to transplant now- but at least the green leaves make the garden look good.
