Just another interesting subject from The American Ribbon Factory! A close-up of a half-hitch knot hanging from one of the looms. It may have been used to pull something up and down- the opening is no larger than a finger. think some of the lights in the background might be distracting though.
I showed this to Jerry and asked him what knot is this? He said “half hitch”, once a sailor, always a sailor. I earned my knot badge in Girl Scouts but I sure don’t remember my knots. Ha.
I'm not gonna lie, this photo looked very grim to me at first until I realized it was for a Ribbon Factory. Looks like a solid knot and really good job capturing the texture!
@cjphoto Oh wow- I can see how that could be misunderstood. Keep in mind it is also a close up! About the only human part you could put through there would be one of your fingers! Rest assured I would NOT have photographed anything remotely grim!
@louannwarren Cool! I will have to edit the commentary!
@olivetreeann - That poor, poor finger...hahaha kidding. But yeah I had a feeling that was the case, as that's not usually your style. My mind just had to adjust to the fact it was a closeup. lol.
