Minimal Coin by olivetreeann

Minimal Coin

Minimal and macro- a coin I received as a gift a long time ago and my go-to back drop- the kitchen sink.
I love the minimalist feeling and the muted tones. Great shot.

@iris52 @pyrrhula Thank you Iris! Thank you Ferry! It is from India, but probably no later than the 1990's. It feels like it is a very thin aluminum and not very valuable- but I know nothing about coins from India!

Thank you all! I came by these coins in a fun way. We'd gone to a friend's house for a holiday party that included a grab bag gift exchange. Guests were to bring an inexpensive gift that was "international" to go along with the "Christmas Around the World" theme. I usually do not participate in those grab bag games because I always get stuck with the worst gifts! But this time I "lucked out" when I selected the gift with a bag of coins from one man's business travels. No one else wanted them so no one took them from me and I was happy because they were so interesting and I knew I'd enjoy photographing them. They've appeared here on 365 several times already but I think this is the first time the square one has appeared. Thanks for all your views, comments and favs!
