My niece Katie asked me to gather pictures I'd taken of her in 2015 for a photo album she's working on. It was fun to revisit them. What struck me most is how I've improved in post-processing. In 2015 I was only using one program. Now I use 5! Back then, post processing was mostly sharpening, adjusting color and contrast and maybe an effect or two. Now, as well as all of the above, I'm using textures, layering, making composites and can work on small portions of a photo, or the entire picture if I want. In 2015 I'd rejected this photo because I didn't like how washed out Katie's skin looked and how bland her surroundings were. But in 2022, I was able to fix all those short-comings and make the picture look like this. When I started my first 365 Project 12 years ago, I don't think I'd ever have imagined being able to do the things I do today. Thanks to all of you for encouraging me, stretching me, and most of all supporting my project over the years. On to year #13!
