Artist: Fatima Whitbread (1961- ) Fatima is a retired javelin thrower. She was a European Champion, World Champion (1987) and Olympic Medalist (bronze 1984; silver 1988). Tessa Sanderson was her biggest rival. She continued to compete even after a shoulder injury and finally retired in 1992.
The title comes from a quote by Leo Sziland, Hungarian-American physicist credited for drafting a letter which Albert Einstein presented to FDR in order to gain backing to develop nuclear weapons and was largely responsible for initiating the Manhattan Project during WWII.
In life you must often choose between getting a job done or getting credit for it. In Science, the most important thing is not the ideas you have but the decision which ones you choose to pursue. If you have an idea and are not doing anything with it, why spoil someone else's fun by publishing it?
