Another bird we see here regularly are ravens although they stay in our trees and never venture into the garden.

He probably felt he could stand his ground, especially with that beak.

@merrelyn Yes, they are very clever aren't they. I saw one a few weeks ago dropping something into a puddle, giving it a bit of a wash and then eating it.
