Currawong

I haven't seen this chap for a while. They used to visit every year looking for me to feed them with meat for their babies, but for a couple of years the channel billed cuckoos left their eggs in the currawong's nest and the poor birds had to feed channel billed cuckoo babies.

Channel billed cuckoos are the ugliest birds in the world.

It is so good to see this one again. I think it is a bit late to be feeding babies as it is almost winter but hopefully, they have youngsters this year that are currawongs and not channel billed cuckoos again.

@annied I felt so sorry for this poor bird last time he was here, he was trying to feed three channel billed cuckoo babies and they were bigger than him. I really hate channel billed cuckoos.
We do get koels here but I haven't seen any channel billeds this year either.

@haskar This bird isn't ugly, it is the channel billed cuckoo that is ugly. Channel billed cuckoos leave their eggs in the nest of this currawong and they end up bringing up the babies. I love this bird he is so beautiful and has a lovely song.
