Sculptures by the Sea

Today's black and white photo is of one of the sculptures from the Sculptures by the Sea exhibition which is an annual thing and exhibits over 100 sculptures along the beach from Bondi to Tamarama a distance of about 2 km. The sculpture is this grey/black colour so I converted the background to monochrome too to match it.

Today's main album photo

Wow! That is an amazing photograph. It is hard to judge the scale of the sculpture but I am guessing that it is quite large.

great photo. I love this art exhibition and I used to live in Bondi so I know it well. Do you remember the year that had the beautiful larger than life horse on top of the hill? I think it may have been modelled out of large sticks.

@wanabe It is well worth a visit Meredith. Last year a group of us from our local U3A went down on a bus. Had a brilliant day.

I think this epitomises the word 'sculpture - b&w suits so well!

Such an interesting capture. Hope he doesn't get sand up his nose. Wouldn't want to be around for the sneeze. Sorry I couldn't help myself.

Wow...this is amazing. What is the sculpture made of? It is magnificent!

It's a very good photo Babs, but I find the sculpture itself rather disconcerting with its partial face.

@quietpurplehaze Thanks Hazel. The sculpture itself was this sort of grey colour so I just changed the background to b&w to fit the theme.

@angelar Thanks Angela. There are so many wonderful sculptures along the 2 km stretch. Look forward to going this year as well.

@kathiecb Oh dear never thought of that. He could well get sand up his nose as he is almost on the beach. At least he missed me this time.

@eyesmile Not sure what it is made of Gena. Some of the sculptures you can get quite close to and walk round but this was on the edge of the cliff so couldn't get close enough to touch it. It may have said it in the program but memory has failed now.
