2016 04 23 The staircase

Quick upload as very busy with family visiting.

Another shot from Chatsworth House using fish eye lens. It looks a bit darker on here than it did on my screen.

Many thanks for great comments on my starling shot - so pleased to see it on the PP today.
Love the way you have used the fish eye lens - great PoV too - fav!

You've used the fisheye so effectively to capture the grand staircase. Definitely bring this lens with you if it's not too heavy.

@taffy I love this lens - it's the first one into the suitcase! Just can't make up my mind if I need the 70_200mm. I am bringing the 24-125mm which is a great walk around lens and the 17-40mm wide angle. With the 8-15mm fish eye I keep thinking that is enough and I won't need that extra length out to 200mm (plus 1.4 extender) do you find you use a long zoom lens very much around the city?
April 24th, 2016
@pamknowler I hardly ever use the zoom, except when I go to the zoo. But I'm guessing for that, you'd be okay with the 125. My walk-around is a 28-300 but it's not nearly as heavy as the Canon 70-200 (Junko has that one). I think you'll find you are using your wide-angle more than any of them.

At first glance I thought you were already touring Taffy's favourite sites in Chicago! OK...next trip, let's visit you and this exquisite location! ...One week! Can you believe it?! I'm up long past bedtime, trying to upload some photos. I've had no computer time and it's only about to get busier!!! (Yea!)

@Weezilou trying to get my head round the fact that next Sunday I will be in Chicago! All that planning (mostly by Taffy) all the excitement and anticipation and its nearly time! Whooppee!
