I am back home now from my Devon trip and all unpacked and sorted. I have had to rest my knee as walking on the sandy beach and a 6 hour drive has not helped in it's recovery. Anyway after cutting the grass I was sitting on the decking enjoying the sunshine when I noticed the buds on the American Bean tree have started to open. I smile as the leaves when they are fully open are the size of a dinner plate. A very unusual tree which gives us some lovely shade.

Many thanks for all your great comments on my Devon photos - very much appreciated. I was especially interested to read all your comments on the shot of the dog whose photo I was asked to delete. I am still none the wiser but I loved some of your suggestions.
Oh wow, that must look stunning when it's fully out. Bummer about your knee though, they're tricky things. I fell flat on my face this morning when I was out walking Maggie, I was watching here and stumbled into a deep pot-hole. Very undignified indeed, and metal knees don't cushion the fall much, not to mention not improving my already dicky ankle. OA sucks. IMO it might be worth googling UK law for photography in public places for future reference. Oh, and stay well clear of women with lurid pink hair!
