Finlay and George are either play fighting or fighting for real! Both jealous of each other and it doesn’t take much to get them started- normally George doing the instigating! Here they are just playing together with Finlay gently rolling over while George tried to eat him! Lol!
No luck catching a hedgehog so far but I did catch a blackbird! I forgot to take the trap in and once it was daylight down came the blackbird for the mealworms! The bird wasn’t hurt and as soon as I opened the trap he flew away.
I have put the trap out again tonight so let’s hope I catch a hedgehog this time!
11.30pm update - the boys went into the garden for their last pee and yes there was a hedgehog - not inside the trap but beside it where the dogs could reach through the fence! All hell let loose with the dogs both attacking the hedgehog and then each other! Me shouting for my sister to bring the long brush and some garden gloves. Goodness knows what the neighbours thought! I finally managed to push the hedgehog into the trap and the door sprang closed.
I got the fighting dogs indoors and then put the trap onto a higher wall in the garden. I will have to rehome him in the morning. I could have done without all that excitement! How far away do I need to take my visitor to ensure that this time he does not return. I am just hoping his mate didn’t come back with him!
We just left friends who have two cats who fight all over the house, all the time. They are a sister and brother from the same litter, their sibling rivalry is something to behold! I think Finlay and George are just being pals!
Adorable boys will be boys! Fav.
Oh what a night!!! And what a funny story with all that excitement, yelling, barking and going wild! At least you were when all was said and done! :)
Great fun capture of the two boys, they make me laugh.
You certainly have been run off your feet with those pesky hedgehogs.
i can just imagine all the commotion & noise from the two dogs once they found it.
Hopefully there's no more around now.
