I just loved the back of Jasmine's dress and thought I would share it with you. The dress was paid for by her parents and was made for her in a wedding boutique in Stamford. It was expensive but when I saw it I knew it was worth every penny!!
It was a wedding on a budget - except for the dress. Only 18 people at the wedding itself. The bouquet was made by Roy her Dad and the wedding cake was made Marilyn her Nan. The pandemic has shown people that you do not have to spend £20K plus for a wedding!!
So pretty! Sounds like our wedding with friends who were caterers doing our reception on a low budget and beautifully too with a French friend making the Croquembouche as a second wedding cake and part of the dessert. Lovely memories. My dress was the most expensive thing and I paid £379 for it and had to pay it off £10 per week for a while because I was on the dole looking for a job at the time!

Such pretty details. I have never really understood why people feel the need to spend an absolute fortune on a wedding. Much nicer to have an intimate gathering with people who mean the most to you.
Beautiful dress. You don't need an expensive wedding to have a happy life. There were 12 people at our wedding and David and I were two of them. We have been married 52 years this year.
It is amazing how Covid has changed weddings. My friends son just got married, there were 10 people at the wedding, the bride made her bouquet and bought her dress from a second hand shop for $50 and the wedding was really lovely.
Wonderful dhot of this beautiful wedding dress. I was married in a registry office, wearing a black costume and there were 4 witnesses. Like Babs, we will be married 52 years this year 😊
Love the buttons down the back....she looks beautiful & a perfect intimate wedding. There were about forty at our wedding. We walked to the church, walked back to my parents house & had the reception there. Afterwards someone drove us to Preston hospital where my grandparents were patients then off for our honeymoon in a caravan in the Lake District. We have been married 58 years this September.

My daughter's wedding had to be cancelled due to the lockdown but they finally just had 8 people attend outdoors on a farm. They also had a zoom link with an unknown number of family and friends watching. It was a very special time. The only odd thing was the original wedding venue wouldn't give a refund even though they were closed!
