Clovelly Harbour on a very wet day!! I slid all the way down the cobbles ably assisted by Finlay who was chasing cats all the way down. It's a wonder I didn't roll down on my backside!! I can honestly say "Never Again". My niece who lives in a tiny cottage at the bottom will have to meet me at the top in future!! No cars allowed in and very steep cobbled lane all the way down from the cliff top to the sea!!
I did a few SC conversions so thought I would use them. Not keen on Picmonkey's B&W conversion but I couldn't remember how to do SC in PS. I need to get the book out!!
Many thanks for your lovely comments on yesterday's shots - very much appreciated as always!!
@pixiemac Sarah the residents all have sledges and everything going in or out of Clovelly is pulled on the sledge. When my niece has her shopping delivered by Tesco it is at the top of the village near the visitors centre. They have to put everything on the sledge and drag it down. Ruth features on so many videos and photos of tourists who think it is so cute!! Not in winter in the wind and rain it's not. Clovelly is a picture postcard place but in my view hell on earth to live in!! I will put up a pretty shot of the village - I am sure I have one.
@pixiemac This is a link to my earlier shot. As you can see it's very pretty in Clovelly but not somewhere I would want to live. The shot is from about a quarter of the way down the very steep hill. http://365project.org/pamknowler/365/2014-04-25
That must be such a pretty cottage and vantage point to live BUT for me the quaintness would wear off pretty quick....unless I was vacationing for a week in the summer :) Those cobbles are really slippery when wet.

Another shot showing how the cobbles get steeper as you go down.
