The new normal by pattyblue

The new normal

The shops here have reopened since Monday so yesterday we took a trip out to get a birthday present.
We were so pleased that our favourite coffee shop was open (take away only) so we bought a drink and sat on a bench enjoying our magic brew and did a bit of people watching.
I was impressed with these well behaved customers who were all standing in their circles.

I'm so happy to say this is no longer the normal in New Zealand.

Going to be interesting if they alter the 2 metre advice tomorrow........all the sticky tape on the floor and painted foot positions like this that will have to be redone! Classic British. Oh how we love a queue!

good to see people sticking to it too

Good to see everyone is being so well behaved. It is like playing hopscotch these days isn't it.

good to see them obeying directives. Not very easy, people tend to stay in clusters discussing topics while they wait impatiently.

New normal is better than no normal 😎

I am very disappointed with my countrymen. After things started going in the right direction regarding the number of COVID patients ... I get the impression that the thousands of dead have long been forgotten ... people flock to party and celebrate. Especially the young people ... in the shops you hardly see anyone with a mouth mask. 😖😳

Great candid shot

You have certainly captured a picture of the times. Here in South Florida, we are still required to social distance and to wear masks in all stores and in indoor places outside of our homes.

Fabulous record of the time. I love that they are all neatly placed within their circles.

I had to laugh 😂 a que for Poundland! Although I read that Poundland will be closing many of its branches ☹️

Intersting reminder of Covid19, when we finally escape its effects.
