We popped out for a few things at the shops today and found that our favourite coffee shop was properly open and not just for take aways, joy of joys! The first coffee out for 3 months and it was just heaven.
Before lockdown we took this for granted but it's not until you can't have something that you realise how much you miss it.
It was spitting with rain but we didn't care and sat there with damp bums enjoying our brew and watching people go by.
The cups were really nice too, they were advertising the Tutankhamen exhibition at the Saatchi museum in London which is sadly still closed.
Love the cups, so nice to be out again. I went to the cinema today with a couple of friends for the first time in months and we went for a coffee afterwards. It was so nice to feel some sort of normality again. Don't know how long it will last but at least we enjoyed today.
Love the cups. I remember visiting the Tutankhamun exhibition in London as a child on a school trip in 1972. I still remember how magical it was to look on those treasures. Haven't been in a coffee shop yet. Maybe soon......
You should not miss the Tutankhamen exhibition. I have reads lots of information of ancient Egypt and have one book about the finds in his tomb. I am always hoping to visit the museum in Egypt one day. Glad you could sit down and enjoy a coffee after all these weeks.
