CANADA GOOSE LOOKING LEFT

Another grey, dark damp and very very windy day in the UK

Went to the Attenborough nature reserve (named after David Atenborough), in the village of Attenborough in Nottingham.

I had a 70-300 mm lens on my EOS 450D and I got quite close to a Canada Goose.

I could do with the image being sharper but there was very little light to make the aperture smaller enough to get sharper.

Anyway the wifey liked the image so I decided to post it on here.

I'm now in my second week of 365 and I appreciate all the comments from everyone kind enough to take time out to have a peek at my images.

Regards, Phil
great!

I like his "formal" appearance. Generally a goose won't let you get too close, so I appreciate your posting this.

@allie912 thanks Allison, as for getting close, I think he was keeping a 'eye' on me.

I do believe he's far from home. ;-) Nice close-up - those babies can be mean.

@seattle Constance, thank you for commenting, natural history pictures are out of my 'comfort zone' as they can be very difficult to capture
