I really struggled on Sunday to take a decent picture.
Most of my day was spent travelling to watch my football (soccer) team. I travel a 240+ mile round trip to see my team (Bolton Wanderers) play 'home' matches.
On Sunday it never stopped raining. I took some pictures outside the Reebok stadium prior to the match kicking off. It was not ideal conditions to take a picture. I was stood under my umbrella , camera in one hand brolly in the other hand, trying to capture something useful.
The camera was getting wet and water was getting on the front of the lens, so some shots were smudged ! Anyway the best none smudged shot is this one - people walking along the outside of the stadium, making there way to the entrances to get into the stadium.
It's not a brilliant picture, no real centre of interest, but it was the best I could do in the horrendous conditions !!
The real centre of interest is seeing all those sports fans eager to watch a match in the pouring rain. We have the same phenomenon in the U.S. with American football. As far as I'm concerned, a comfy spot on the couch in front of the telly is ideal no matter what the weather!
@sarahhorsfall@sarahhorsfall Sarah, yes I noticed the guy centre looking towards me (not at the time but when I opened the file on my computer) - there were some people on stilts promoting some brand near me so maybe he was glancing towards them. Thanks for the comments
@gill Gill, yes it did rain hard, but I was at the football anyway, so it was easy to slip my Panasonic TZ7 in my coat pocket . Glad yhe black and white works for you.
@sleepdozer57 Thanks Peter, yes you are right, the best thing is taking the picture. Still very concious about pointing my camera at people in a public place. I do get carried away with black and white though...always works for me
