Leicester has a traditional market right in the centre of the city.
I took a few photos and decided to post this one.
Street photography is normally best in black and white, but this one shouted out to be colour. The row of fruit and vegetables were just too colourful to conver to black and white.
So glad you gave us the color shot. What a cornucopia of delights! Where do the vendors get their produce? It couldn't be local at this time of year, but it sure looks robust.
@allie912 Thanks Allison. All the fruit on display would have been imported into the UK. Oranges, lemons, grapes and bananas don't grow in the UK at any time of the year. 'Cornucopia' ... nice word :)
@sugarmole Thanks sugarmole, I don't know if it is the largest still, but it was my first real visit to it and it was a great place to wander around :)
