Most mornings after breakfast we went a walk along the beach. Each morning provided some good photo opportunities because the sun light was always low.
This image is about a mile along the beach from the hotel, I bobbed down low to emphasize the drama of the shot.
The image is shot 'almost into the sun' so my wife is 'almost in silhouette' . The wife is on the 'rule of thirds', so I think the composition works well.
BTW Juliette, @sparkle , I said I would not post any more images of my flip flops, but if you look carefully you can see my wife is holding her sandals and my flip flops !!!!
This is beautifully proportioned & I can see how the rule of thirds works so well! Lovely light it almost looks like evening with the sun so low . Great beach !!
Great shot Phil - a real relaxing by the sea not a care in the world type shot. Love the composition and the textures and shapes (clouds and footprints) SUPERB job, love it!
@sparkle Thanks Juliette, I knew it was going to be a good picture as soon as I saw it on the little screen on the back of my panny TZ7 :) , the light was so good :)
@whippeteer Frances, glad you like it and thanks for the fave :)... Pity there wasn't a little whippet sat beside my wife to make the composition even better :)
@patsyjphillips Patsy, thank you very much , it was an easy picture to take, the camera did all the work, all I had to do was get the composition right :)
This is beautiful Phil. I love the composition, the lighting and colours. Those footprints at the front and the lovely clouds at the top provide superb framing. Your wife is placed in the perfect position (yeah rule of thirds) and I really like how she's semi silhouetted. This is a fav for me!
@gill Gill, many thanks for the 'fave' and I'm pleased you're eye sees all the same things about this image that I did :)...I think your camera club knowledge, expertise and experience are starting to 'come out' :)
Rule of thirds...? My partner has one rule of photography...don't take any pictures of her! :)
Rule of thirds is about composition and how best to present your subject ...
