Well this is another view from the front seat of the top deck of the bus. It's a different day. a different time and a slightly different view because this time I'm looking sideways onto the pavement (it had started raining, so the front window was slightly smeared with water droplets).
You may be surprised to know that this image is shot in the Sherwood district of the city of Nottingham !!! Sherwood is probably the half way point between Arnold and the centre of Nottingham.
Other than the name Sherwood, the district appears to have no connection to 'Sherwood Forest'. Sherwood is essentially an inner city suburb of Nottingham.
Anyway this is the Sherwood cafe , directly outside the bus stop for numbers 56, 58, 59, 87, 88, 89, D3, D3, SA1 and all bus services run by 'calverton connection' , 'national express' and 'pronto'...WOW that's a lot of buses stopping outside this little cafe.
I cannot vouch for the quality of the fayre available at the cafe, but judging by the clientèle you can see in the cafe, it would be appear to popular place for pensioners.
I'd like to point out that Nottingham is quite a vibrant city and has an excellent choice of restaurants, bistros and cafe's. There is more to Nottingham's eating places than the two cafe's I've shown you so far in my 365 !
Nice clarity in this shot. Ha, made me laugh that it a popular spot for pensioners and it looks like they all like the front window. The rest of the cafe looks empty. Wonderful shot from the bus of street life.
..yeah like the angle too, and slice of life from buses is a nice perspective. Might have to do some bus rides - i guess it gets you to places you don't normally see..
Have a cup of tea then get on the bus outside the cafe home ! What more can you ask for !! Brilliant street scene as usual Phil. You did well getting it so clear through the bus window too !
Sherwood Café... sounds great to me. Would love to have a cup of tea there. :-) But of course the name makes me think of "Sherwood Forest" and the Robin Hood legends... ;-)
