Back Fill 2 : Daybrook Skyline by phil_howcroft

Back Fill 2 : Daybrook Skyline

In order that I finish my 365 on the correct day, I have 10 blank days to back fill. This is my Back Fill number 2 from May 2011

This is shot from our local civic park (Arnot Hill Park) from the top of a hill looking over towards the Daybrook area of Nottingham (just next to Arnold).

The big building on the right hand side of the frame is an old mill which has been converted to apartments. On the left hand side of the frame is older housing stock.

The long zoom I have used has emphasised the closeness of the buildings.

How beautiful! Great black and white

Your B/W shots work perfectly !! I like the contrast with the very pale sky & dark buildings & trees!

@swilde Sue I like the term 'well balanced', that's a good way to describe the shot :)

@marlboromaam thanks Maggie, I think using a 'zoom' on a landscape is quite a good technique to use...it doesn't always work ....but when it does the results are worth sharing. Thanks for all your support
