I'm way way behind on posting and need to catch up on commenting (my wireless connection at home kept dropping out, so I had to change some settings on my router - a different channel worked !!!)
Anyway this is a reflection of the Nottingham Corner House in the smoked glass of the Royal Centre Concert Hall
I've cropped it quite a bit to emphasise the reflections. I thought of cloning out the lights that appear in some of the rectangles, but decided they looked better 'in' rather than 'out'.
The smoked glass wraps itself around the front of the concert hall and you get different reflected images depending upon where you stand to take the picture. So I probably have another two or three images to get from this subject !!
The 'corner house' is a modern building that is very photogenic, so I will have some material from that as well.
Ha Ha, that means I could get almost a weeks worth of images from a 100 metres stretch of road ..... wonderful, pity I don't work in the city centre !!
nice one... both uploaded reflection shots today (know this was froma few days back)... This project would be a piece of cake if I worked in central London.. so much to take and especially easy for street photography..
love reflections of buildings in other buildings! Great shot Phil - IT Tsk! I've been at war with IT this week too - most of it is Microsoft driven though so nothing to do to fix it!! LOL I find it frustrating when I am away and can't upload to here - makes for hard work catching up!! Look forward to the other shots in this series!
Very attractive shot - the colours are so pure :-) My router is on and off all day and night long sometimes drives me nuts but I have no idea how to fix it or if it is a rubbish ISP or BT line. I have this mac time machine still all wrapped up that I need to set up but I have got really phobic of broadband stuff and have been avoiding it for ages the mac people at Regents Street told me it might fix the signal problem as it should be stronger - I hope it is a plug in and go device. I got the phone moved so it does not interfere with it so I had better swallow hard and give it a whirl.
@whippeteer Frances, changing the broadcast channel from 1 to 10 worked for me..no more line drops. If you read your router manual, or look online, then their will be an IP address that when you put it into the browser (http://followed by the IP address) will ask you for the router user id and password and then allow you to logon and change the channel on the wireless connection.
I'm not saying that will work for you but it worked for me !
so interesting and full of light and life.
