This means we should be enjoying a late evening summer drink in our garden, watching the sun set in the distance, enjoying the hard work we have done making our garden look lovely.
However, this is England in June 2011 and as you would expect, the weather is totally unpredictable
Tonight it rained really hard , leaving the windows all wet and streaky,, which in turn meant I could be a little creative with my DSLR camera (my 'trunk' as my daughters call it) rather than my compact.
The view you can see is one of my hanging baskets (which is looking rather nice now ..picture soon) and Jeff and Pat's house,
seen through the window of our lounge
Most of my 365 images have been with my compact panasonic TZ7. I don't think I could achieve this effect with my compact...manual focussing on the rain drops so I get a bokeh background ,
Haha a typical summer's day :-)
yeah it is difficult with a p&s... not impossible tho... although you might end up deleting a bunch before getting it right..
Love the abstract quality of this, Phil. You have managed to focus on the rain beautifully. The shape of the window is a great counterpoint to the amorphous lines of the foliage.
Very pretty shot - we've got the promise of pretty outside things through the window but we can't quite grasp them. I like it. I wonder if that was the downpour that got us at lunchtime - I can't believe it was nice all day apart from the hour I was standing in the park - your indoor view is much more civilised.
you had rain too huh? loks like the Dutch weather was the same as the English the last few days! great shot - you're right to switch cameras for this shot TZ's don't handle the required focus on stuff like this!! Cool shot
