Sorry for posting another whippet picture, but I was struggling for an image today.
It's day two of our summer, temperatures peeked at 30C yesterday and 28C today , but that's it, summer will have gone tomorrow as temperatures will be back to 20C and cloudy !!!!
Anyway if you are a whippet, the best way to stay cool while sleeping appears to be ... lie on your back, legs in the air !!!
Not at all ladylike for a young lady, but hey it seemed to stop her panting. Her comfy quilt bedding appears to have saved Ruby from embarrassing herself in front of all the 365 community.
I wasn't going to post this picture, because as a photo it is not that good compositionally, but then it did make me smile and I know there are a lot of dog friendly 365 people out there who might like the image !
Note her little 'fluffty furry toy 'next to her in bed for comfort !!!
Who cares about details like composition when you can see this lovely picture !! A great shot & Ruby looks blissfully comfortable ! You sound like you have had more summer than us ..ours was a damp squib, quite nice yesterday ,lovely this morning then wind & then rain tonight !
Hooray at last it is here and I am not disappointed - a fab shot so typically whippet on a red hot day, what an awesome six pack - Pearl has a really nice tummy too. I wish I could tickle Ruby's tummy I am an expert!! They even tolerate cold water being sloshed on the brisket and tum tum when it is this hot :-)
Puh-lease on the temps. LOL. I can't stand even walking to the end of the driveway to the mailbox. ;)

I love how whippets nad greyhounds lie like this - like ALWAYS!!! When Milly is in this pose I normally creep up on her and bury my head in her tummy - this normally turns into a play fight - great fun!! It's a good sign of compliance and comfort when they do this...she's obviously a very happy dog! cool shot - your commentry re the blanket covering her modesty made me laugh
