They don't look like a wild flower more like an exotic Passion Flower type !
I think you got good value there ! Very clear macro shot of this intriguing flower!! Wonder if any one knows what they are !
A great macro..love the flower! I love planting mystery wildflowers..never know what will blossom..my daughter did a butterfly flower mixture one year..it was great!
oh you siad that already for some reason I knew what is was straight away but I was a keen gardener when I had my allotments one a long time ago in Sheffield and the other one in York and I did loads in Kenya I had a 20ft banana tree with fruits in 2 years and the most wonderful papaya tree I grew from a seed that produced the most delicious fruits imaginable -I was addicted to them and still love paw paw (as the Kenyans call it) to this day!
@whippeteer We call them paw paws too. I devoured one for breakfast today. :)
Paul, this is a wonderful wild flower, like nothing I've ever seen before. I am also learning that using a tripod makes a huge difference with macro photography.
If you are lucky, You learn something everyday. Today I am doubly fortunate because I have learned two things -- what Love-in-a-mist looks like and that paw paws and papayas are one and the same. Thanks Phil for the photo and the forum. Isn't 365 grand!
Look at the detail on these little flowers....one of my favourites, as everyone says love in the mist or Nigella. Thanks for all your comments Phil, most appreciated. :-)
