Ruby's Paws - A close up

Ruby was catching some late evening sun on our lawn. Well I hesitate to call it a lawn .....it's now more like a racing track for a whippet.......she gallops around it at high speed scrapping with her furries and taunting me to catch her ....the grass is more like a football field after several slide tackles !!!

Anyway ...a macro shot of Ruby's front paws as seen from behind.

Well worn pads and claws from our daily walks. We estimate she gets on average 3.5 to 4 miles on her weekday walks and further and longer at weekends !

Still behind on posting due to our holidays ...I estimate I will be on track by the weekend !

Sign of a happy dog! We've never had to cut Monty's nails either. She has much neater paws than a spaniel - much less trouble with grass seeds I imagine!

Nice foot shot - the POV makes Ruby's paw look MASSIVE!! Makes me think of the golden lab we had as a family pet when I was young - used to love those bits of fur between the pads on his paws :o)

..yeah, looks like a bear paw! massive and cool angle.
we have a big circle in the middle of the grass where ours runs around with his stick of the day.
