One of my five bird boxes - All Empty

I counted five bird boxes in our garden, in various states of repair. Some new (like this one - about 12 months old) some ancient (20+ years old). I'm sure we have more than five, but a couple may be lost in bushes !

Anyway, the birds don't seem to want to live in any of them......not even this trendy 'des-res' ...I even put a little feeder 'house' next to it to tempt them in !!! Unfortunately no takers !

This house sits on a mature 'golden birch' tree. I think the box nestles quite nicely among the leaves ! Almost colour coordinated :)

All of a sudden I'm behind on posting again. It's so easy to get behind.

It's a great colour - we don't get many takers for our boxes (though we did have a brief visit this year) but then we have lots of cats sitting underneath them....
