She travelled back with us on the 58 bus, here she is peeking out of her travel bag, sat next to my wife !
When we got home Ruby was a little confused having another black whippet in the house. She sniffed her bottom and her nose and cried a bit when Jane started making dog noises !!
I took some cracking pictures today in Nottingham (building, people and urban landscapes) ...this is not the best ...but I decided to post this as it might bring a smile to a few people who follow me
Now this is a mystery!! Who is Poppy & is she a permanent resident in your house..perhaps a Christmas present, she is all wrapped up like one !!! She looks very sleek & pretty & black ! Hope Ruby hasn't got her nose pushed out of joint !!
Now that's just barking! Hope you enjoy the new addition to the family and that Ruby gets used to her new 'playmate' - even if it is her that's doing all the running!
@happypat thanks Pat, my wife and I decide it would be a joint 'early' Christmas present to each other...she's sat beside the fire place now...Ruby is sat next to me as i type this, so I don't think she's missing out on any TLC :)
LOL I must admit I had to double take on this - and then was wondering if it was real and if so she's a TEENY WEENY whippet! great shot Phil and it did bring a smile!
Oh look but poor little Ruby getting all confused! Reminds me of taking a kitten on the train from Manchester to Nottingham (for my sister). She was a gorgeous little thing and kept sticking her head out of the box - and theguard said if she saw her do it again he'd throw her off - you can imagine the response he got from the old ladies on the train!!
Ah, but you're so cleverrrrrrrrr Mr. Phil!! Nice whippet on the No. 58 bus pic! No shortage of color on that bus, either! I'm glad Ruby really doesn't have any competition. :)
Oh Wow how fantastic another whippet joins the family. Poppy looks so like Tinkerbell I had to look twice! And I thought black whippets were quite rare! Was she just dumped? Can't understand how anyone could do such a thing...Look forward to seeing more of Poppy
Having read the comments and your responses I know this is not just a stray you rescued but a genuine new member of your family. May you have many happy years with your whippet children.
Presumably Poppy is too large to be nodding on the back shelf of the car? I really should have magnified the picture before assuming you too would be mad enough to take on another girl. Apologies for causing all the confusion or not spotting the shop collar!
