The bus stop behind wilko's

Wilko's has appeared in my 365 a few times

This is a stark monochrome image showing a bus stop in Arnold (behind Wilko's)....not the very best of locations for a photo shoot ...not the very best of locations to wait for a bus either....the number 59 bus stops here as opposed to my number 58 bus

Long lead in lines and straightened in PSE because it was shot blind from the hip as Ruby sniffed the 'interesting wall'

I like the trolley bag !!!
Ruby is your photographer's assistant, I think! LOL! I imagine she keeps you very good company even if she does make you shoot one handed. I like your POV and the texture of the brick wall. It moves the eye down the wall until it stops with the folks waiting for the bus. But, there's an even more interesting sports car between the wall and people at a further distance! Very cool shot, Phil! =)

Even Ruby knows a good line when she sniffs it! People and their posessions! ice of them to add a spot of texture! Love the leading line.

Whoever thought a picture of a bus stop could make such an interesting shot love the straight lines in this ... even the trolley is tartan...and why are they ALL decorated in tartan ?!

@marlboromaam Maggie thnx for your kind words , I never really thought of Ruby as my assistant...but you are right she is.....I have to shoot with my compact though when it's just me and her...can't do a DSLR and a lead ....way too hard.

Good spot about he sports car....do you drive a sports car by any chance :) ...it takes a good eye to spot that car :)

@phil_howcroft It was almost like that when dog sat Jack for a while. I'd tie his leash to my ankle so I could take pics with 2 hands. LOL! No, a sports car is not practical for me. I drive a very old small SUV.

A gritty picture here full of street realism, just as it is !!!

Phil, I really liek the converging lines of the brick wall and as Pat says - it a shot full of realism. Nicely done

@swilde Sue you are very kind, the perspective is what made me post this ....oh and the desperation to post a shot too !!!

Great use of perspective. It has a stark realism that is rather sad, don't you think?
