Bluebelle Revisited by phil_howcroft

Bluebelle Revisited

I did a macro shot of some bluebelles a few days ago

http://365project.org/phil_howcroft/365/2012-05-13

I wasn't too happy about the quality of that shot, so I have done another.

This stem and belles are from a bunch in our garden

I think the dark background makes this shot better than the previous.

I boosted the saturation and toned down the highlights in photoshop elements

Hope this one is OK

I think I need to get myself a prime lens !

There's a lot of sunlight cast on the flowers giving areas of dark, shade and light, but overall I'm pleased with this.

Don't you just love these beautiful delicate flowers :)

Yes Phil your other was good but this one is the tops !!! Your DOF perfect & there isn't any glare on the flowers at all ! I like that you have two stems it gives the photo more interest.

So nice to see the bluebells upturned instead of drooping, you can see their structure better. It's a lovely shot, these definitely are bluebelles!
