The colours of Mahon (Mao)

A picture from our bus journey to Mahon one morning.

This is a a picturesque square in the centre of Mao, decorated by coloured bunting / streamers.

Decorated for the fiestas that seem to occur at regular intervals during the summer

I tried a google search to work out the significance of the decorations but didn't find much information

I think the colours look great against the blue sky :)

@happypat thanks Pat, Mahon is a beautiful city ...it was a really hot morning though ...the temps reached 33c by 11.30 am !!!
