It's a tradition that we always (well almost always ...if 'almost always' makes sense) go to Rufford Park on Boxing Day Morning.
We always go 'early doors' too as the park is quieter early morning.
Rufford is about 20-25 minutes drive from Arnold.
No Ruby on the boxing day walk as we cannot seem to stop her getting travel sick !!! However she had an 8.30 am circuit around Arnold and a couple of local walks later in the day :)
This is a trademark 'Phil Shot'...bobbing 'low down' as bobbing low down emphasise lead in lines and textures :)
This is my wife and youngest daughter striding out. Power walking
The early risers caught the low morning winter sun......the weather returned to it's trademark wet and grey later in the day.
I took a really 'arty' picture of our Christmas wine bottle yesterday, which I might use as a filler later in the week if I'm struggling for shots :)
Nice weather your having Phil .. Oscar had shocking travel sickness , it's really hard to deal with I know but I persisted with taking him out in the car , sat in the car with him for 10 mins before we set off then small journeys at first .. Took about 8 months to sort but we got thee in the end , no problem now , we took him to Somerset , Cumbria , Wales without too much bother ..hope ruby sorts her sickness for you (;
This picture is very sharp and clear.i guess the early morning light lends itself to a good photo. Sorry Ruby is not a good traveler. I had the same problem as a child. Sitting in the front seat seems to help.
@kerristephens cheers kerri :)
@swilde Sue, we get gr8 sunlight on winter mornings in England (although it isn't sunny often)
@steveh steve thanks for the dog / car tips :) ..i'll give it a try
@judithg thanks judith, i'm used to early starts :)
@busylady thanks judith, the morning was good the afternoon wet :(
