It's an area I only ever drove through, but now I caan walk around the area camera in hand as I take a lunchtime walk
I never knew this park existed, so it was a big surprise when I stumbled upon it.
There are a few footie pitches a duck pond and nice long paths to walk along.
Nottingham City Council, takes a lot of care and pride in it's public parks and quite rightly too. The Queen, William and Kate visited here last summer as part of the Jubilee tour of the UK.
As you can see the trees are a long way behind were they should be after our harsh winter.
Composed so the daff's were in the bottom corner ...could have done with clicking sooner so the lad in red on his bike were a little closer to the camera
Nice name for a park..."Vernon"....it's a bit like having a "Phil Park" / "Bill Park" / "Roger Park" :)
Don't you love a red jacket!!!!! The parks & countryside are so drab at the moment but get a bit of warm rain & it will be another world! Parks are so important in cities so glad you have these places to walk in...Preston too has some beautiful parks.

Yes i agree the boy would have been better nearer but he still shows up very well & would have been a shame to crop it & lose that long line.
