The view behind the stand at Arnold Town Football Club
Me and my mate Bill went to watch Arnold Town play Bridlington Town in the NCEL Eastern Division Prem League game
We could have gone to Leicester to watch Bolton Wanderers play Leicester City, but Bolton are on top form and Leicester on the crest of a slump, so it was inevitable what was going to happen, because Bolton always let us down.
Anyway this just before kick off as the sun was low. I've not changed my camera time yet.
Arnold Town last 4-1 in front of 47 spectators
Bolton lost 3-2 in front of 22,442 spectators
@judithg thanks judith.....me and bill always count the spectators and we made it 50+ ...but I suppose some might be freebies / officials ...there were a few fool hardy Arnold Youths wearing flip flops and shorts.....it went really cold once the sun set !!!
Being a Leicester City season ticket holder I was one of the 22,442. It was an extremely good game and one in which we refound our form. Bolton didnt let anyone down to be honest and were a frightening prospect going forward. It could have gone either way in the end.
As a young child I used to live in Arnold too so enjoy your pictures of the surrounding area, including this one, keep up the good work and hope to see you in the playoffs
Ha ha I remembered to change mine the other day!
Amazing layer of white cloud & then that level tree line, the long shadow & then the field all beautifully worked so the lines show up......your black & white study of this lovely scene is spot on Phil !
