Old Basford and surrounding areas have featured quite a bit on my 365 since I started my new job.
I always get delayed here in a morning and in an evening going to and from work.
I don't mind a 10 minute delay though as you get to watch the trams and trains cross the level crossings.
I am a bit of a geek when it comes to looking at urban transport hubs.
Shot on my new HTC SV one mobile phone (which has a fault on it....you cannot make calls as the line keeps dropping...which is pretty fundamental....... so its going back to 'virgin media' at the weekend
Do people commute to work by train or is it more for long trips? Like @andycoleborn I so rarely make a phone call that I use my iPad for all things networked and have an old-fashioned flip phone for the occasional call.
It takes good pictures though but can't make calls..that's some phone!!! I always think crossings like this are quite fascinating & wouldn't mind at all sitting & watching the trains go by...your train looks very modern. I like the people getting on & off but that would be slightly frustrating if you were in a hurry......odd position for a stopping place.
@allie912 thqnks allison, this is a 'nottingham tram'......it's used for getting people into the city by green and clean methods...tram stops are about every 1/3rd of a mile or so ..the line you osee in the far right of the picture is the railway line and was reopened a few years ago to connect ex 'coal mining towns' into the city of nottinghma and help regenerate the 'run down town'
@swilde ha ha sue.........well they won't replace my phone with another one yet.....i have to have a new 'SIM card' first to see if that resolves the issue !
Great urban hub shot, and of course The Clouds.
