Goobye to Mallorca - Palma airport through a dirty window
The last of my Mallorca holiday / vacation pictures.
This is Palma airport shot through a rather dirty window with my HTC One SV mobile phone.
Aeroport de Son Sant Joan, it is the third largest airport in Spain after Madrid's Barajas Airport and Barcelona Airport.
This plane if flying to 'Manc land'. I like the man in the high-vis walking up the ladders.
Rather bizarre, there is an 'authentic' British pub in the departures lounge...serving 'traditional British food' and British beer.
There was a Geordie man sat near us in the lounge, drinking a tin of 'Carling' from the said 'authentic pub' and eating a packet of Minstrel chocolates. Drinking in the morning is bad enough .....mixing chocolate and beer...well that's one unhealthy mix !
@maggiemae thanks Maggie ....we've done Mallorca a few times ...it's a beautiful island....it has some big euro resorts catering for the home comforts of young and old Brits and Germans .....we stay clear of those resorts and go to lesser know and much more beautiful locations
I saw breakfast cereal at the grocery store today that had chocolate added to the flakes. I think that is bad enough, but beer and chocolate...that makes my stomach do flip flops.
I wish I'd been there. Beer and chocolates...surely that's pure self indulgence. Now champagne and chocolates...that's simply my just desserts. I like this shot too. Nice angle on the plane
Ah, sad moment when your holiday is over. I love this shot though, airports are all so different and this one is almost attractive! Love that little man too!
I've never been but I'm told it's very beautiful. Shame it's all over - back to reality. You still have a few holiday posts to keep the memories alive.
