This might be the first in a mini series of Mobile Phone pictures of the entrances to Vernon Park, Basford, Nottingham .... hence the title Park Gates 1
Vernon Park is a municipal park, an oasis of green in an inner city urban environment.
The conversation between me and the man with the hat and bag, walking across the frame, went something like this ......
Me: ' Alright?
Man With hat and Bag: 'Alright?
Me: Good
Man With hat and Bag: Yes
Me: See You
Man With hat and Bag: Yes
We have stimulating chats in Nottingham. BTW: Man With hat and Bag was a stranger
I suppose he wondered why I was taking a picture of the park gates with my mobile phone ! Maybe he thought I was photographing the house on the left hand side of the frame which is for sale.....nice views to rear ...could be an estate agents selling line !
Well I see nothing wrong in that conversation Phil. A proper greeting with a friendly sane conversation......us northerners would rather say proper words to complete strangers rather than be thought of as stuck up, don't you agree?
lovely park gates with lots of detail plus what looks like a stunning avenue of trees on the other side. Rather unusual windows in that for sale house..are they net curtains or leaded glass or iron grills!!!!
@judithg@happypat Pat Judith, I will have a look and let you know, I suspect they are metal grills......security I assume.....this is inner city, although I've seen no ASB in or around the park
