These are my two daughters....... Kirsty and Claire
It was Kirsty's hen night on Saturday ...well actually she had a hen night a few weeks ago in Liverpool. Tonight was a 'hen night' for the more mature relatives...Grandma's, Aunties, my wife, family friends ....a senior evening....a meal in a French restaurant in Nottingham...all very sensible. Actually some of Kirsty's 'own age' friends came along too.
A table for 22 at the restaurant ...6.30 pm
Claire organised it all and everyone came to our house for a surprise get together and pre meal drinks.....pink cava and bucks fizz !
Anyway ..bride to be left hand side of frame (the bride veil sort of gives that away) and chief bridesmaid right hand side of frame.
There's a 19 months age gap between Kirsty and Claire
Fill in flash gives a nice bit of catch light in the eyes ...although the garden background is a bit bright.
I made good use of my new camera. I took 154 pictures of the hen guests !
I've learnt about the fill in flash for portraiture! It works beautifully here. I can see by Kirsty's very wide smile that she is the bride! They both look so attractive and it sounds a fun wedding event!
Very nice indeed - getting close now Phil! 60D - very nice indeed. I need to get my manual out to work out how to do fill in flash. I can turn the flash down but not get it to come on if the camera decides it doesn't need it.
@judithg thanks judith ...there will be a little 'picture on a button of a flash' on the side of your flash...press it and it pops up :) ..... first weekend in august :)
