A Flashy Clematis by phil_howcroft

A Flashy Clematis

This is a clematis growing on a trellis in our garden.

I shot it pointing upwards with the sky as background......Sunday was a rather dull and cool day...it drizzled most of the morning ...in sharp contract to Friday when the thermometer in the garden touched 30C

Anyway, I tried something different with this shot...I shot it with fill in flash ...I clicked the pop up flash on my camera. The effect lightened the petal colours slightly, but for the better in my opinion as it has created an almost artistic canvas feel to the shot.

If you view large you might see the creepy crawly dangling on a web....Perhaps I should have cloned it out as it is a tad distacting

Thanks for all you support and comments on here...very much appreciated :)
A great idea to give a totally different feel to your flower. I like the way you are always willing to experiment and then educate us too!

I love the effect, it really does look like an artist's work. (It is of course!) Don't be too critical about the spider - I hadn't noticed it!
