This is a shot of 10% of the crowd at yesterdays Arnold Town Arnold Town versus Brigg Town in the FA Cup Preliminary Round.
The supporters of Non League football teams are no different from the one's who support professional teams who play in the Premier League and Football League. They swear replica shirts, football scarves, fly flags and shout at the players and officials.
Even though it's only 9 people from the official attendance of 90, the shot seems to capture the love of the 'beautiful game'
For those viewers not familiar with the language of football,l the game of football in England is often referred to as the 'beautiful game'
That is a fantastic home flag & I like the touch of the local adverts....a small team is very cosy & lots of people will know each other. Have you got a yellow & brown scarf Phil?
A wonderful composition-- the colors and the various postures of the observers. It looks especially interesting with the straight line of the neutral colored fence behind them.
Great composition Phil, love the look of anticipation/expectation on the spectators faces. The woman having lunch makes me laugh, have to have priorities right : )
Thanks everyone...I'm sure you are all eagerly awaiting the result of the replay....unfortunately Arnold Town lost 4-2...the referee played rubbish according to the man who fetches the trolleys at ASDA (he is on the football committee)
