This is South Sherwood Street in Nottingham city centre.
Claire treated Jane to a Mothers Day meal (and me too) at Le Bistro Pierre in Nottingham.
Jane and Claire did some retail therapy before the meal and I had a little wander around the city and took some street shots.
I like the minimalistic nature of the shot as a young lady waits outside the Nottingham Corner house cinema / restaurant / entertainment complex.
In photography an image can work well if it has a triangle connecting the subjects / objects your are shooting. The triangle here is the lady the street sign and the canopy.
Love the muted tones, Phil but I am especially intrigued by the ball hanging down. It reminds me of Damocles's sword, waiting to fall on her head when she gets within striking distance!
