My my my Dahlia by phil_howcroft

My my my Dahlia

My my my Dahlia. Pardon the corny pun on the title, but it was the best I could come up with, for the Dahlia that lives in a terracotta pot in the front garden.

Shot on the macro setting on my little Panny TZ7. Just some minor adjustments in GIMP. A tweak to the levels and contrast and the removal of a tiny blemish in the bottom left hand corner.

The centre flowers are on the thirds. I tried rotating through 180 degrees, so the centre flowers were on the right hand side thirds, but once you know you've flipped, the image doesn't feel right

Dahlia's are soft and delicate and I have tried to convey this in the image

It's beautiful - you know I like a song in a title!
