My Programme Seller Portrait Sitter From My Previous Shot

This is the gentleman who let me take his shot for my mono portrait on my previous shot

This is him outside the Macron stadium selling his role of "Bolton Wanderers FC Official Programme Seller" (it says so on his orange bag).

I've eyed him up as a potential portrait for the last couple of home games and he "eye balled" me taking this shot and gave me a smile, so I knew he would be a willing sitter.

Note the tiled / brick wall which made for a nice background to the portrait. Note too how the light changes on the tiles in the top right corner, which spoilt the background of 3 of my 5 shots

I very much like the orange...and that tile has a nice little reflection on it. Is that a reflection in a window or is it the view through the window. Nice composition Phil. Glad he was a willing "victim"

Is he a Bolton supporter too, or just trying to earn some extra money? Love the orange bag. I will become a Bolton supporter very soon with you showing all these shots about the club.

Phil, you have a good eye for a 'victim'! I like the contrast of the bright orange with the darker blues. I also like the way you give comments on the shot - thanks. This man seems quite a character.

He must be dedicated to do this if he needs a scooter to get about. This tells the story, has nice depth and the complementary colours give a lively feel to the image.

He looks less than impressed here - you obviously charmed him

@judithg ha ha judith, maybe i did charm him :)

@dulciknit thanks allison, thee program sellers do get paid and quite a few are elderly , so I assume they are topping up their pension and getting a free ticket into the ground to watch the match (albeit a few minutes after kick off when they enter the satadium)

@quietpurplehaze thanks hazel, i always try to do a narrative to put my photos into 'context' :)

@sangwann I think most of them are Wanderer Dione. You are welcome to be a Wanderers supporter, but it's not a brilliant experience (and I've been one for over 40 years !!)

@seattle awww thanks for the fave constance

@kerristephens cheer kerri :)
