All the people
So many people
They all go hand in hand
Hand in hand through their Parklife
Know what I mean?
Vernon Park is one of the routes as part of my daily work lunchtime walk. I cross the tracks at Basford tram stop (by bridge rather than track - see previous shot) and then either turn right to loop back via the former Prince Charles Brewery building or turn left towards Vernon Park.
I liked the blossom on the tree by the Vernon Road entrance. I always like some human element in my pics, so the young lad entering the frame was a little bonus.
Love your sky, maybe summer is finally coming...
I envy you being able to go for a walk every lunchtime - I teach in a prison so my scenery is not soooo pretty (and no cameras allowed!)
@alinz thanks Ali, it is a quick 30 minute walk Ali, so I go in a 15minute radius of my workplace. I still have a couple of unexplored bits to investigate after 2 years in the job
I think when you're capturing an area designed and built by and for humans, having one or more in the scene gives it meaning and context. The area is *for* them, so it seems right to include them, if that makes sense!
Looks lovely there; that tree certainly is beautiful.
@dulciknit yes it does make sense alison :) municipal parks with playing fields in an urban space , a green oasis . I hope they never get sold off like our utilities did
