Candle Lamp and Cobwebs by phil_howcroft

Candle Lamp and Cobwebs

Does what is says in the title !

A Tea Light Lamp Holder that dangles in our garden covered in Sunday morning cobwebs on a damp and misty November morning.

I have done some autumn cobwebs before 'back in early days of my 365', so I am due another cobweb post.

Edited in Rawtherapee and then some minor adjustment in GIMP and then a National Geographic filter. Nice don't you think :)

Wonderful find, capture!!

Fav - nice but also creepy as about 30 mins ago I took a shot of cobwebs on a lamppost outside Clare's living room window (2nd floor tenement flat)!!!
I shan't post mine as it's not half as nice as yours.

You caught these cobwebs beautifully Phil.......I am hopeless at cobwebs, can't seem to find any for a start, we must do more dusting than you! Must try & see if I can find one tomorrow, foggy here again so hopefully I can do as well as you! Lovely mixture of vintage type lamp & this amazing construction.

Great focusing and I like the echoes between the lines of the web and those of the lamp, also the green in the background. Think this would make a good b/w too.

Fab web capture. Its attachment to the lamp makes a complete scene. Looking for a web shot too.

@dulciknit thanks alison i did think of doing mono , but I liked the green bokeh background :)

@jennywren many thanks jen and thank you for the follow too :)

@happypat thanks pat, i focussed on the lamp, making sure my aperture was small enough to get some DOF and keep the web in focus, I could have manually focussed on the web, but the manul focus on my 50mm lens is a bit tricky

This is such a beautiful pattern! I've never seen spider web that is "loaded" with water like this, only in pictures. Beautiful.
