This was shot a few days ago after we had been gardening.
Jane cut some poppies back that were a bit overgrown and arranged them in an empty Waitrose chutney glass (that had previously had some tea lights in it)
I placed the jar on the decking rail and shot it contre jour.
A simple vase but they seem to be so popular at the moment and one can see why! Lovely booked in the back to complement the beautiful colour of the flowers! fav
You have really nailed this one, Phil. I spent over an hour yesterday photographing cut flowers, only to find I'd altered my ISO to 6500 half-way through (don't ask!) and i had to throw most of them away. You have inspired me to go back out and do it again.
