Basford Wandering with my mobile

Each lunch time at work I go for a walk, you could describe it as a wander around Basford.

I have four possible routes I take (or variations on the route) and don't really decide which one to take until I walk out of the school gates.

This is a variation on the "Vernon Park Walk" i,e I approach the park via this terraced street rather than the entrance off the main road.

Shot with my mobile phone and edited in Rawtherapee (as Rawtherapee can do jpeg files as well as RAW files)

Not a bad picture for a mobile :)

I'm always surprised how good mobile phone photos are & I have started using mine much more on occasions when I don't want to take my camera. Looking at all the windows, some open some not, I can see reflections of an identical row opposite & notice it's quite a wide road which is as repaired & patchy as most roads in the uk at the moment!

I see some mobile shots which are better for clarity than a normal camera. This is one of them. Love the typical English scene. My son lived in a rented house like these for the first few weeks when he came to the Uk. Then he bought his own house.
