I have had two firsts in my last few two pictures, a first time a stranger has asked me to take a pic and a first time I have took a picture of a stranger who I had took a picture of before !
Well today was another first ... the first time I have met a 365 'er
Today I met Constance Brinkley. We follow each other on 365. We have followed each other since I started 365 back in 2011.
For those who don't know Constance, she is a photographer from Seattle and we met in Nottingham today,
"You met in Nottingham , what's all that about ? " I hear you ask.
Well Constance is an Assciate Producer of the film Paa Joe & The Lion which was making it's World Premier public screening at the Broadway Cinema in Nottingham.
Constance came up to Nottingham from London this morning for the Premier and was holding a Q&A after the screening, before returning to London tonight,
Jane and I were having lunch in Nottingham today, so I made arrangements to meet Constance after lunch, before the celebrations for the Premier started,
I never thought that the first 365 person I would meet in person would be somebody from the US in Nottingham
Constance was really nice, and we chatted about photography, 365, Ruby (our whippet), my daughters and her role as Executive Producer in the film (and others too). Constance also had a really cool 360 degree panoramic camera ! We were only with Constance for about 20 minute to half an hour as I did not want to impose on her big Premier.
Jane asked me if Constance was how I imagined her and I said "Yes she was", Jane thought she was a "nice friendly lady". Oh and Constance recognised me as soon as I walked into the bar :)
This image is outside the Broadway Cinema on the terrace and was took on my 450D by Constance's friend Doug, who was accompanying her on her for part of her trip to Europe.
Your first if many oerhaos Phil? It's amazing all the 365ers I've met & & it's in double figures have been almost to the letter exactly as I think they are! I love meeting other like minded people on here. I am about to meet another one on Wednesday & am getting the train to Birmingham to meet Joyce, darn it I can't remember her 365 name, anyway I'm sure we shall get in fine! Lovely photo of you both Phil.
And what about that big friendly smile that you have, Phil. I'm sure Constance fell 'in love' with you as soon as she saw you. You make a lovely happy couple couple and for that alone I can fav. this shot. I met a 365er from Australia once and another from the Uk on another occasion and in both occasions we had a long chat and had some great time together.
