I saw Theresa stood outside the Nottingham Victoria Centre on Christmas Eve. She was preaching and singing Carols, People seemed to pass her by and ignore her.
I was on my way to the French restaurant across the road from Theresa for a Christmas Eve family lunch.
I worked out I had a few minutes to take a shot of Theresa before our booking at the restaurant.
I approached Theresa and pointed at my camera and asked if I could take some shots. Theresa said it would be OK and was totally at ease as I took a few shots. I think her smile and happiness shines through the image.
I showed Theresa the shots on the back of the camera and asked her about her preaching and singing. Theresa is a member of "All Souls Saved International Mission" which is an organisation based in Nottingham. When I say organisation, they are actually a company registered at Companies House .
When I arrived at the restaurant, I showed the images of Theresa to Matt, my son-in-law, and he said "Oh that's the lady who preaches on the street"
I was surprised by Matt's comments as I am a regular visitor to the city centre and have never seen Theresa, but she is obviously well known.
Thank you Theresa for being stranger number 63. I wish you well with your street preaching.
