Calverton Rapeseed Oil Fields by phil_howcroft

Calverton Rapeseed Oil Fields

Some local fields on the road between Arnold and Calverton.

Note the tree confirming to the rule of thirds.

The fields don't half smell a bit and the air is pollen rich.

In fact such is the potency of the rapeseed oil, you tend to get a slight yellow haze / mist in the valley, making the scene difficult to photograph.

Edited in Darktable, using the clarity tool to emphasise the midtones - you might think with a name like clarity it might clear the haze too :) :) :)
Glorious yellow! I love taking rape pics - this one is superb :)

A familiar sight at this time of the year - lots of rape fields round here too.
Nicely composed with that tree on the thirds and I like he way the dip and rise of the fields lead the eye through the image.
